Pleiades Cluster

The Pleiades Cluster sits at the heart of Sector 175. It is a collection of seven stars and stella material that formed approximately 100 million years ago.

Pleiades Cluster

The cluster is an astronomical phenomenon. Inside are seven stars, almost identical, all formed within the last 100 million years. Surrounding the star is a thick cloud of Stella gases, debris and dust. There are strong gravimetric distortions inside the cluster and no starship in the sector has ever been able to enter it. There are three main problems when entering the cluster. The first are the gravitational forces inside; every ship that has entered has been literally ripped to pieces. The second problem are spatial anomalies. These anomalies bend energy and matter and confuse sensor systems. As a result even if a ship could survive inside the cluster it would not be able to navigate the region. The last are temporal anomalies. There are pockets inside the cluster that exists in there own space time. In some areas there are temporal differentials that force anything inside to begin ageing hundreds of times faster or slower then normal space.
